“7:01 The Story of Viper's Return to the Green Hell"

A documentary following Viper’s return to the "Green Hell" looking to reclaim it's title as King of the 'Ring. This time without factory support, no marketing hype, just a group of privateers who have passion for the car & want to see it go out on top. With the Viper ceasing production, a crowd-funded effort through gofundme raises enough money to ship two brand new 2017 Viper GTS-R's from the showroom floor in Texas to the legendary racetrack in Germany with hopes to send-off the iconic car in the biggest way possible. The story follows the tireless effort & exceptional dedication to break the world record for the fastest production car lap record around the Nürburgring Nordschleife - acquiring resources & putting together a team on a slim budget to gain access with dedicated track time - the struggles of unpredictable weather, the grueling wear on the car & tires while pushing the limits to race the clock & bring the dream to reality.

Executive Producers: Russ Oasis & Bernie Katz

Director of Photography: Colin Fox

Production Company: FoxProFilms

Editor: Tyler Knight

Viper’s Return to the Green Hell. The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do it all again, this time; without factory Dodge support. This evolved into the combination of Russ Oasis, the man with the dream & Bernie Katz, the mastermind behind bringing all the pieces together to make the dream a reality. To send off this iconic car the best way possible - by reclaiming the king of the ‘Ring.

There was a lot of moving parts & incredible people involved in this effort. Both Bernie & Ben Keating (who had other racing commitments during this time) were part of the 2011 record run when Viper recorded an incredible 7:12.13 in the 2010 Viper ACR with Dominick Farnbacher behind the wheel.
This time around Bernie worked with Russ Oasis to return to the ‘Ring and send off this iconic car properly. With the Viper ceasing production, a crowd-funded effort through gofundme raises enough money to ship two brand new 2017 Viper GTS-R's from the showroom floor in Texas to the legendary racetrack in Germany with hopes to send-off the iconic car in the biggest way possible. Once we stepped foot on Nurburgring soil, there were constant moments of anticipation that resonated around the track & around the world. We experienced every type of weather while filming at the ‘Ring, but for the first 2 weeks? Rain.
