NASA Great Lakes - Chicago

@nasagreatlakes x @autobahncc : targeted video marketing with a focused demographic.
We wanted to get a message across to a targeted demographic. The message? NASA Great Lakes has an incredible high performance drivers education system unlike anything else that exists. The market? Chicago.
With Autobahn Country Club less than an hour out of the Chicago core, there was a huge market we wanted to reach.
Our team developed a series of video concepts to both captivate the Chicago driver market and inform the viewers with details about the program.
We planned a shoot downtown Chicago with #NASAGL members, starting with the #Chicago skyline in the background, working our way through the city touching on signature landmarks & landing on-track at #Autobahn.
The shoot: hugely successful. The campaign: equally successful & mission accomplished.
This type of experimental marketing is a shared effort. The incredible client & their vision to dedicate resources & fully support our concept. Our team, executing under tough conditions (shooting in a crowded city, with traffic, wrangling people & cars under a tight timeline) and creating this entertaining campaign to attract viewers and drive traffic to learn more.
This is a perfect example of what makes video production & digital marketing so satisfying. Big ideas, bold concepts & incredible people focused on a common goal.

Fields Autoworks - Prototype

Randy Pobst took the Cardinal Coupe test car for some hot laps around AMP recently. With under 2,000lbs curb weight and over 300 horsepower from a turbo 2.3L, it turned some very quick laps! At a track-ready cost under $70k including roll cage and safety equipment, see how Randy thinks it.

NASA Great Lakes - HPDE

NASA Great Lakes @nasagreatlakes has been an ongoing annual project where I join the organization for a specific race weekend to capture footage and collect interviews discussing the culture, people & progressive structure. Lead by Jay Andrew & his well-appointed team, this organization focuses on High Performance Driver Education, taking the skills of a brand new track driver through their system both in-class & on-track up to competition-level.
I’ve learned more from capturing these weekends than any other driver education program on the planet.
This is a dedicated group of people focused on the same goals: teaching people how to drive safe, properly & share the track so that everyone gets the most out of their track weekend.
Eric Meyer @photobymeyer is the chief instructor & is growing the instruction through additional outlets such as Instructor Summit @instructorsummit.
The wealth of experience, talent & knowledge shared between this group is unprecedented. If you’re in the Great Lakes region, and want to learn to drive better or dip your toe into tracking your car, do yourself a favour and check these guys out. They make the process extremely easy to follow, immediately remove any concerns & streamline your learning process to help your each your goals.

Bombsquad Racing - BAJA 1000

If you were asked what the gnarliest thing you’ve ever done is, what would your answer be?
Wes Miller contracted us to come ride along & capture The 50th Annual #Baja1000 Mexico (2018) Bombsquad Factory Polaris RZR Racing Team. I’ve never seen so many gnarly things happen in a 48hr period. Tires flying off our truck at full speed, dodging cows on the highway, sharing portions of the road with racers weaving between us, no cell service, no sat phone service, the thickest dust worse than any snowstorm - but also the most talented drivers, dedicated teams, beautiful scenery, Encenada to La Paz down the California Sur, Mexico with @wesmiller70 & the dream team crew with factory @polarisrzr.
Wes, this shits gnarly beyond any words that can explain it. You’re a lunatic, and I love it. This was a bucket list project for me and it’s extra wild we got to do the 50th anniversary. Tough doesn’t explain it. If you ever need a wing man again... find someone else!
Kidding. I’m down. I must be a lunatic, too.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to tell your story and forever, this was absolutely without a doubt the most mind-bending, sleep-deprived, adrenaline-racing, confusing, exciting, terrifying, once-in-a-lifetime production that it nearly impossible to explain.

PEAK “Legendary 7”

PEAK came to us with the idea of bringing together 7 of the legends from motorsport together during SEMA to the Las Vegas desert for a day of fun (but serious) competition. Starting the day at the crack of dawn at Zero One tours HQ to off-road race to the oldest bars in America - Pioneer Saloon - which had a poker table waiting for the 7 to kick back, make some wagers & tell stories.

PEAK #Legendary7 with legends @jfr_racing @clintbowyer @mwr55 @roberthight7000 @dononeal214 in #LasVegas with @zero1offroad & @pioneersaloonnevada 😂
I’ve never struggled not to laugh while shooting like we did for this project. Three #epic days in the Nevada desert with @photobymeyer @wesmiller70 & @thebrianbohlander
These guys know how to have a good time, and share that energy with everyone in the room. This was one of the highlight projects you’ll never forget. Incredible stories with the crew, awesome experience with a world class client like @peakauto & some of the funniest humans on the planet

Viper - Nurburgring (2011)

The Viper team had been secrectly planning to retake their record at The Nürburgring - when they brought the plan to my attention it was with only a few days notice that I was on a plane to Germany to capture this event in it’s entirety - solo. Managing all camera systems on the car plus capturing the story both on & off the track - the days were full, exhausting & rewarding unlike anything I had experienced. To be part of a top-secret team across the planet with the best in the industry - The Nürburgring Nordschleife is often described as the most technically challenging purpose-built road course in the world. This is the place where automakers test their vehicles for proper suspension tuning and endurance abilities. The 12.9-mile north loop has long been the global standard bearer for sports cars since its construction in the 1920s. For these reasons, SRT believes it is important to show the world that the Viper ACR is capable -- and dominates. On September 14, 2011, veteran GT driver Dominik Farnbacher lapped the Green Hell in 7:12.13 -- a full two seconds faster than its nearest competitor.
